Eric Rollinson

Eric (Thomas) Rollinson. Educator, organist, b London 16 Jan 1911, d Toronto 17 Apr 1963; FRCO 1931, B MUS (Toronto) 1943. He moved to Canada in 1932 and spent the next 10 years as an organist-choirmaster in Saint John, NB, and Hamilton, Ont. In 1942 he joined the faculty of the TCM.

He moved to Canada in 1932 and spent the next 10 years as an organist-choirmaster in Saint John, NB, and Hamilton, Ont. In 1942 he joined the faculty of the TCM. Adjudicator, lecturer, recitalist, and author of books on theory, he became a leading teacher of theory and organ in Toronto. The Rollinson Prize for RCCO examinations was established in recognition of his work in that college as president 1943-5, editor, and examiner.
