Betty Brown (Primary Source)
Betty Brown immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba shortly after the First World War. During the Second World War, she completed her nursing training at Winnipeg General Hospital in 1940 and enlisted as a nursing sister at the city's Osbourne Barracks. She landed in Sicily on 19 July 1943 and worked in the field at No. 5 Canadian General Hospital.Please be advised that Memory Project primary sources may deal with personal testimony that reflect the speaker’s recollections and interpretations of events.
