Create AccountRobert Chatillon. Bandmaster, teacher, b Nicolet 1904, d there 1973. A pupil of his father, Édouard Chatillon, he, too, taught at the Séminaire de Nicolet. Shortly before his father's death, he succeeded him as director of the Nicolet Band and also of the seminary band.

Robert Creech was a successful musician, educator and arts administrator. He performed with symphony orchestras across Canada, taught at the University of Western Ontario and served as an administrator in Canada, England and Ireland.

Robert Duer Claydon Finch, poet, scholar (b at Freeport, Long Island, NY 14 May 1900; d at Toronto 11 June 1995). Robert Finch was educated at University College, University of Toronto, and the Sorbonne, Paris. He was a professor of French at the University of Toronto for four decades, 1928-68.
Though his music is recognizably of the 20th century, among his contemporaries Fleming was a moderate. His compositions are basically tonal and use traditional techniques, forms, and media in a personal way.
